Thank you for this notification, and looking forward to the philosophical, sociological and cultural debates, dissections, discussions and analyses. But one major question: Why no women in the panel? How is it that great Hindu women scholars in Indian philosophy, history and culture ; or women scholars of Hinduism and women Hindu philosophers are not included?

Modern day online magazines like IndiaFacts must not show their sexism by “treating intellectual and philosophical scholarship as mere male bastion, or one in which male perspectives alone rule or reign supreme”.

Hinduism, or Santana Dharma, was once way ahead of other philosophical, spiritual and religious traditions, theologies and practices. It now must catch up with those beliefs and practices that are embracing “science, feminism, research and/or new knowledge” better than Hinduism…which seems to be dominated by men and their perspectives, priorities, interpretations and an exclusive “all male religious, philosophical and/or spiritual club”.

The spirit (the pure self or the authentic self), the Brahmh, knows no gender. The universal consciousness, the absolute, the eternal and the cosmic supreme: also known as Brahmaa, too is beyond gender.

Kindly include this part of Santana Dharma in your practice too.

Why are there so few male baby-sitters, so few male primary school teachers and even fewer male professors in women-only colleges? As per your logic, people who require the services of baby-sitters should not discriminate against men. You see, just because women are absent from such fora does not in any way undermine the respect for women that Indian men have. The truth is that despite your ramblings on the existence of better women’s rights and infrastructure in your American Hooter-land, the rate rape is abysmally low in India compared to the ANY country in the West. Feminists like yourself should learn to move away from autocratic and exclusivist Western ideologies such as Feminism, Marxism, Christianism, Islamism, etc. to truly appreciate Hindu Dharma.

      • Singhal_abhishek

        good one .

      • Dr. MS

There is no outright discrimination of male baby-sitters, or aayaa, and teacher positions. These are, in a patriarchal societies, low wage, low status, jobs that women take up “as an extension of caregiving and caretaking roles that they did, or still do, in their families”. Many men consider these jobs to be “women’s department” and “beneath men”. Men themselves discriminate men who take up these jobs, or attempt to do so. In the West these kinds of “caregiving and caretaking jobs” are referred to as “Pink collar work”…that are physically and emotionally demanding, but are undervalued in the job market and labor rights.

If men want to be baby sitters they should be allowed to become so. And the salaries for women in any traditional work should go up so they are not exploited and battered like they are in so many places and professions.

Men who did not get hired in many hospitals, several decades ago, as nurses fought for their right to become nurses and be hired as male nurses. Today there are many male nurses, but, unfortunately, they get paid better than female nurses. It is still harder for a woman to become a police officer and get treated respectfully, seriously and with equal pay than for a man to become a teacher, a hair dresser or a baby sitter.

In the US a woman earns 60 cents to a dollar. In India 10 paise to a Rupee in some places and in some sectors. Studies show that when men enter a female dominated profession the salaries go up…due to patriarchal bias.

I know several upper class homes in India where the ayya, the baby sitter, is a man. Some of them are looked down on by men in their own families and communities for their work, and some assume that these men are gay.

Men, in power, with privilege and authority, are cruel to women and even some men.

Two wrongs do not make a right. So fight for the rights of men to become baby sitters, teachers and make up models if you believe that is important, while also fighting for women scholars and intellectuals, with equal training and expertise as their male peers, to be in included in all panels and academic debates.

Do not be a cheap Hindu man who pushes and insults his own women, especially those who are intelligent, sometimes far more intelligent than the men folks. Leave it to some stupid HIndu male, or a colonized one, to make dumb arguments (without research or facts), and then insult his own women…giving weapons to outsiders and foreigners to rule over them, including enslaving Hindu men and/or emasculating them, again, again and again.

        Full stop…

        • शरण् कुमार्

Since you call me cheap, let me reply to you by quoting you: ————– (1) ” Many men consider these jobs to be “women’s department” and “beneath men”. Men themselves discriminate men who take up these jobs, or attempt to do so.”————– As you well know, this is not the exclusive case of your so-called women’s dept. Men across companies in ALL sectors are not paid the same salary for the same kind of job. Now what ya say? ———— (2) “It is still harder for a woman to become a police officer and get treated respectfully, seriously and with equal pay than for a man to become a teacher, a hair dresser or a baby sitter.”————- Naturally. this is where you feminists miss the point by the mile. There are certain jobs that are made for men; some others that are made for women. Men and women are physically, emotionally NOT equal. They are so spiritually. But that is a different story. I will any day feel relieved to know that a man is in control of the cockpit. I know not all men are good pilots, but 90% of them are any day better pilots than women pilots. In the same vein, I will be doubly relieved to let my child sleep in the safe hands of a woman baby-sitter who is not a feminist. LOL. Women and men are capable of doing everything. But a woman, unlike a man, has a civilizational role in society. That is why the language a child speaks is called mother tongue as language learning starts in the womb. The dad can stay home and do baby-sitting, but he wouldn’t have passed on the cultural heritage/emotional intelligence to the child by way of vibrations, stories and songs. A woman’s place for this reason is HOME. I am not patriarchal as I have clearly said that men and women are intellectually and spiritually equally gifted. The problem today is crackpot feminists like you. ———- (3) “Studies show that when men enter a female dominated profession the salaries go up…due to patriarchal bias.”———— There is something called tradition, or sampradaya according to which man is considered the sole earning member. It is better the woman stays at home for the benefit of the younger generation. So, you think equality needs to be only financial? Are you that short-sighted? Assuming a white male and a brown male are given “equal” salaries, does that signal the end of discrimination based on race??? I would be glad if feminists went beyond the pale of Abrahamism and sought for spiritual equality in which a woman, for example, can freely discuss her favorite sexual position and her love for oral sex without being branded a whore who made Man fall from grace. Now, that is real equality. ——— (4) “Men, in power, with privilege and authority, are cruel to women and even some men.”———– Not always. This could be the case of powerful women too. Today, it is not-so-powerful women who are cruel to gullible men thanks to dildo feminism of your brand. See Bill 498A and its abuse. ——— (5)”while also fighting for women scholars and intellectuals, with equal training and expertise as their male peers, to be in included in all panels and academic debates.”————— Assuming a white male and a brown male apply for the job of a professor in a Western university, who do you think will be given “preference”? There will always be discrimination of some kind. That is natural. ———- (6) “Do not be a cheap Hindu man who pushes and insults his own women,
especially those who are intelligent, sometimes far more intelligent
than the men folks. Leave it to some stupid HIndu male, or a colonized one, to make dumb arguments (without research or facts), and then insult his own women…giving weapons to outsiders and foreigners to rule over them, including enslaving Hindu men and/or emasculating them, again, again and again.”————- this is just BLAH BLAH BLAH. Far from it, I am happy there were so many women who were part of the Mangalyaan mission. This couldn’t have happened in NASA. As I have already told you, I am a fluent French speaker who has spent quite a few years in Francophone countries. The French men are far more sexist, cheap, stupid and masochistic than Indian men. The story is no different in the case of average American men. Courtesy: the alarming rape rate despite women’s rights and state-of-the-art infrastructure. So, there your argument goes bust. Indian Feminists have to remove their intellectual strap-on dildos to get the big picture. vande shyama krishna shodhari. Such is the respect we Indian men have for good traditional “homely” women.

          • I promised I’d never come back here, but since that fraud Dr. “MS” is still impersonating me, I have no choice but to come back to defend my honor. The fraud is not doing a good job exposing you brown woman-eating Hindoos.

I think your post is disgusting. For proper equality, it’s well known to everyone that Hindoo men need to step down and let women take over. Once you Hindoo misogynists accept your inferior status, take pay cuts, take the worst jobs, and give up your rights, then we can say proper equality is achieved.

And why do you keep bringing up other men as “proof” that Hindoo men are not disgusting, superstitious woman-hating bastards? Typical fascists always whining about white men and Muslims and Christians and so on. French and Christians and Muslims are not Hindoo so your criticism doesn’t count. Stop trying to divert attention from your barbaric woman-murdering ways. Is the PM a woman? NO. Is the Indian Army, or Air Force, or Navy led by a woman? NO. Is your father a woman? NO! What more proof do you need of your woman-hating nature, Hindoo? But we liberals and feminists are changing things and soon you will be put where you belong, sweeping roads and serving women. That is equality you can never understand – not your superstitious woman-hating, dalit-abusing, minority-massacring communal Hindoo ways.

I mean, just look at the best cheeses in the world. Nearly ALL European. Paneer doesn’t come close. And I know what I’m talking about, inbetween winning the world MMA championship and scaling Mount Everest in just 15 minutes with nothing but a loaf of bread and wearing only a bikini, I won several Nobel prizes in various fields such as chutney making, plate spinning and wig manufacture. Read this to see what I mean:

            Read and learn, Hindoo.

Please consult a gynecologist and a psychiatrist at the earliest.

          • I don’t use a gynecologist because I was born with a fully-integrated self-cleaning machine in my womb. That’s how magnificent I am. And you are just a lowly woman-enslaving Hindoo.

          • शरण् कुमार्

That’s shit of an argument. I want you to get yourself checked if you have a pole-like structure on top of that self-cleaning machine.

          • guest

could you please explain the meaning of vande shyama krishna shodhari.–could not find it on the net. thanks

          • शरण् कुमार्

Shyama Krishna Shodhari is the signature used by the famous composer Shyama Sastri.

          • guest

Thanks, shows my ignorance, will check out his work.

          • Dr. MS

Your argument is like saying, “Because men sometimes beat men…it is okay to beat women”. If you feel men are not receiving equal pay for equal work then work for that for “men and women”. Don’t say that all women deserve to be subservient or obedient because some men are subservient or obedient.

From some of the bad comments, lacking critical thinking and objective analysis, it becomes easy for me to understand why India was so easily colonized, and is the only region in the world to be under invasion, occupation and exploitation continuously for 1500 years. You know what one of the reason is: “widely prevalent mental retardation of its men, and their petty ego and aggression towards their own smart women”.

So…stop acting like an emasculated man trying to compensate or overcompensate for his weak ego or conflicted ego by arguing with me in silliest of ways.

          • शरण् कुमार्

“Don’t say that all women deserve to be subservient or obedient because some men are subservient or obedient.”———- you feminist jerk, what I am trying to say is that women are not the eternal victims and men are not the eternal oppressors. When men oppress other men, women cannot shout from the rooftops that it is men alone who oppress women.—————“widely prevalent mental retardation of its men, and their petty ego and aggression towards their own smart women” ———–Bull shit. you know fu*k all about history. The Brits colonized us because of in-fighting.The first batch of Brits who were sent to India were thugs and pirates. These guys allied with other kings to fight their enemies. Later, these thugs consolidated power and threw out those kings who recruited them. Know your fucking history. ———– Emasculated man——— hmmm. You are talking as if you you have seen beneath my waist. Why don’t come for a night out? Let me see what YOU have got in store. You can also get a taste of my wand. I am sure your fireng hubby will understand the need for some week-end swinging, eh? Ready?

          • Dr. MS

I noticed that you got defensive, rude, crude and aggressive in your communication…calling me “feminist jerk”. Did I insult you? I engaged in an intelligent point. You got abusive. Now you tell me if you have not imbibed, through your culture, patriarchal arrogance, aggression, insensitivity and stupidity. I do not want to engage with someone who is not only stupid, and misunderstands what I wrote, but lacks basic courtesy and respect when communicating. You sound like a Pakistani thug. Maybe you are.

          • शरण् कुमार्

As a feminist, you fail to notice that you were the first to indulge in name-calling. Since this habit is second-nature to you cultural Marxists, I will not blame you. To say that a person is “like” an emasculated man is no different from saying that a person behaves like a jerk or IS a jerk. It means that he/she has all the qualities of a jerk. There is a very fine line that divides a simile and a metaphor. Now some proof: “mental retardation of its men”——– that includes me indeed. “like an emasculated man”———– unwarranted here, since you haven’t seen IT. “weak ego or conflicted ego “—- once again, not needed. “Pakistani thug”———- Really, have you seen me? You claim to be indulging in an “intellectual” debate, but you neither have the arguments nor the acumen to do so. ———- Example: “From some of the bad comments, lacking critical thinking and objective analysis, it becomes easy for me to understand why India was so easily colonized, and is the only region in the world to be under invasion, occupation and exploitation continuously for 1500 years. You know what one of the reason is: “widely prevalent mental retardation of its men, and their petty ego and aggression towards their own smart women”.————— That is why I called you a jerk who just cries exploitation at the drop of a hat. Unlike you who takes cover in the garb of political correctness, I call a spade a spade. Feminists, much like their Abrahamic cousins— Christians, Marxists, Muslims, Jews et al.—- are incapable of rational debate. ————They are only capable of crying “persecution”. ————–“If you think otherwise, please present a point-by-point argument saying how Indian women are the “eternal” victims and how it is ALWAYS women who get exploited BY men, IRRESPECTIVE of the circumstances. Go ahead.

      • Krispy K

Better to ignore this commie fool. He/she expends a lot of effort desperately trying to convince people he/she has a PhD, a patently false claim that is belied by disjointed ramblings that resonate more with psychosis than reality. Probably dissociative identity disorder requiring a hike in dosage. Don’t encourage it.
