In a trip to Kanchipuram recently through a side highway that is not well known I was amazed how acres of prized land, much of it green, lush and beautiful, miles after West Tabaram, have now been bought by missionaries in which churches, convent schools, Christian training institutes and some Christian run industries have mushroomed. :Our driver told us that lot of unemployed youth, confused youth and youth with alcohol problems are helped and converted by the churches in these areas. You can see many churches that have mushroomed all over this area…once free, open, lush and pristine.
