  1. […] liberal heart of the media bleeds only for these attacks on churches because if they wanted all religious places to be protected and Indians to feel safe, the media […]

  2. The Worried Philosopher says:

Let us analyse the situation logically:

    * Observation: There was an occurrence of missing items at a church that prompted church officials to go to the police.

    * The possibilities given this observation are: theft; students covering up a dare gone wrong; vandalism; prank; propaganda; hoax…and ofcourse a true Scientist admits there are always unknown unknowns.

    * Bharka Dutt’s statement concludes the occurrence under investigation MUST be vandalism i.e. Bharka Dutt makes a hypothesis and takes it for granted that her hypothesis is correct.

Note – the church officials (primary witnesses) themselves say they think it is a theft.

Message to Bharka Dutt from a Scientist/Philosopher:
In scientific thinking, one does not answer one’s own hypothesis by stating their hypothesis as a definitive conclusion.

Message from a human being to Bharka Dutt:
Do something with your life that makes as it’s core value, the betterment of all creatures; don’t try to create disharmony and sow discord for your own benefit where no disharmony nor discord exist. Try to focus on the good of all religions; this will encourage even the bad apples of those religious groups to focus on the good of their religion; the good that they can relate to and thus be proud of and build upon, instead of wasting their time defending themselves against your negativity against them. And finally, learn, learn, learn…not through the eyes of others, but by going back to the source (e.g. look at archaeological artifacts, look at original texts and if you have to look at translations, do so with a critical eye on both the academic work and the (intentional and unintentional) biases of the translator.) Lead, don’t follow. Think, think deeply before you act.
