PK is slow poison

No one can deny the fact that cinema is one of the most powerful mediums of communication. Not only does it act on a physical level but also leaves deep subliminal impressions on the viewer.

The new Bollywood movie directed by Rajkumar Hirani and starring Aamir Khan, PK is one such slick production that plants, deep into the consciousness of the society, a powerful slow poison aimed at killing the raison d’etre of the powerful ancient Hindu culture.

Hindu rishis, saints and gurus raised the relevance of humanism by elevating humans to the level of God. Hindu Gurus have always been reformers and advocated modernity and adaptability. Several ancient sages are openly accepted as Gurus from the untouchable and Dalit communities.

Nevertheless, it is fashionable in Hindi films to take potshots at Hindu Gurus; to portray them as cruel thugs and conmen reeked in debauchery and immoral and unethical practices of all sorts.

What is worse is that these movies, including Singham Returns, glorify Islamic culture while contrasting it with crooked Hindu Gurus. However, it is noteworthy that since 9/11 more than 24,809 terror attacks have been attributed to radical Muslims adhering to a stone age ideology and intellect.

This Islam-first policy of many Muslim intellectuals from India is aimed at pleasing their masters in the Middle East that are largely involved in fanning fundamentalism that has brought the earth to the brink of extinction. The situation is similar with the global Christian ummah. They have waged wars on humanity for nearly 2000 years despite their Messiah, a messenger of pure love, giving up his life on a cross even while forgiving the perpetrators of this heinous crime.

Both religions are political in nature, dogma based and closed to interpretation and critical scrutiny and therefore militant and highly destructive.

The elements of esoteric, philosophical and experiential truth in these two religions are lost in the din of their overwhelming desire to ideologically, culturally and politically control all beings on Earth.

PK is intellectually hollow on these fronts too. It fails to acknowledge the subtler aspects of spiritual truths in Hinduism. It rejects them as pitiable needs of the weak. It suggests its own utopian version of a society where intellectuals prevail and the need for religion is not there. This in itself is a jaded concept.

Western cultures have flirted with Individualism and creativity in an attempt to replace the evils that stemmed from their religions. However, this has only given way to excessive consumption and materialism, thereby creating societies that are grappling with psychological disorders and extraordinary violence in their daily lives. In present times these same societies are witnessing a massive shift towards rejection of religious dogma, excessive materialism, over emphasis on individuality towards a spiritual lifestyle inspired mainly by Yoga, Vedantic and Buddhist philosophies.

Commercially too, PK is opportunistic. The PK team knows that it can beat up Hindus and no one will raise a hue and cry. If it does happen, it will benefit the film commercially. The producers and actors do not show the moral courage to creatively attack the fundamentalism of Islam or the Judeo – Christian world that is causing the bulk of the problems in the world.

In fact if a Hindu believes in God he also works to get what he wants. He does not pick up a gun nor sell one to gullible and brainwashed fanatics to kill. Hindus may get fooled from time to time by miscreants posing as Gurus but it is not a problem as large as that which stems from preachers propagating Islamic or Judeo – Christian Fundamentalism.

The English media houses and enemies of Hindu culture repeatedly target Hindu Gurus to weaken India to enable the spread of the religions of their payasters residing in other countries. Why couldn’t PK show the horrid influence of Maulvis and the terrorists they try to nurture? Or show war mongering from the developed countries wanting to sell weapons and to maintain their supremacy?

Allegations were made against the movie by a Censor Board panel member about the fundamentalist nature of the movie but were brushed aside by Arun Jaitley, the Information and Broadcasting Minister and the controversial chief of the Censor Board Leela Samson. Her anti–Hindu stand is well known to the world at large.

That a movie like PK could pass the Censor Board of India for its crude portrayal of Hindu beliefs is shocking. It demands that accountability be pinned on these intellectually bankrupt keepers of the nation’s culture. The government should start with sacking the Censor Board chief and follow it up with criminal cases and enquiries into the team that made and funded PK. Several people have already demanded CBI investigations in the matter given the funding and hosting of its promotions by a company owned by a proclaimed terror financier.

PK, at best, is confused in what it wants to portray. At its worse it is once again a heavy blow against a society that is the most open in the world to new ideas and philosophies. It is a betrayal of one’s national creed to vested interests such as ARY, the Pakistani Media house, known for its terror links, that have funded PK.

    Who let this dog out…?

I understand people tell themselves stories that agree with themselves
but i did not know it could be that elaborate and distort true events to
such extents. Try listening to your heart for a second and see what
    other people are seeing. Humanity

Pk may be showing that reason multiplies more easily than hatred.

PK controversy seems not dying down. Slowly it is going up
day to day. Even the film stopped running in cinemas but it has left a deep
wound in people’s emotion. The people are deeply hurt.
When it comes making fun of belief system. Every religion has
it’s own belief system. If Hindu belief system can be criticized and make fun
out of it for money, every other religion and belief system too have many
points to make fun of it. I am sure the three musketeers do not dare to do so.
Because they know very well what happened to Charlie. Charlie crossed line of
freedom of speech. He deliberately hurt the sentiments. The whole world live on
sentiment. It is different for every one of us. Aamir went to Haz for his mother’s sentiment.
For Raju and Vidhoo money making through exploiting sentiment is a sentiment. Without a sentiment there is no one on earth.
The three team knew that there will be backlash on their movie. They
intelligently made people like sachin, Virat, Raj thackray and others to see
the movie and give statements on TV as a great movie. Now they cannot go back
on their comments. They internally knew that, they have been used and fooled
intelligently. They never trust Aamir and team again. These are Aamir’s tricks
to make his movie success. He thinks he is too intelligent and can do and get
away. This time he deceived the people who trusted him.

One of the point many of the news channels repeatedly said more
people have seen the movie and it is a big success. It is a wrong notion that
many people have seen and producers made money which is sign of acceptance by
society. Due to the past work Rajkumar hirani, Vidhoo vinod chopra and Aamir khan
holds high regards in Indian people mind.
The expectation is that a movie coming from this combination could be something great. The
people started going to movie on their faith on this group. First week went on.
Whoever has seen the movie started realizing that they have been
deceived. By that time the movie made its money. Some people also saw the movie
to understand why there is controversy. Every one convinced that there is
deliberate attempt to malign one section of people sentiments. At the end the
group comprising of three made money to live their future generations but lost
the trust of the society. This is not the end. It will start showing up on their
next venture. People no more trust them like before. The surprising thing is
the News channels making fun of the panelists who are deeply hurt by the movie
and came to give their comments. I am sure the news channels have no guts to do
the same with other religions deeply hurt by Charlie. There is no surprise no news channel dare to conduct a talk show on supporting Charlie like they did for Aamir and team. The next movie from this group would be seen by only News channels and supported critics. Probably this is the new beginning of Indian voice and end of pseudo secularists’. Good luck
    to Aamir and Team.

PK highlights the danger of fake godmen of which there are plenty in all religions. Being a hindu in my opinion after casteism the biggest danger to hindus and consequently bharat are these fake godmen who are trying to hijack santan dharma. they swallow money meant for charitable purposes and other temples which would have used this money for poor people or preserving temple traditions and send it to switzerland and use it for all lavisious purposes. That is why I think as a true hindu we should support PK like how Shri L.K. Advani mentioned. Critisizing the film or its muslim actor because it does not expose the godmen or problems in other religions is irrelevant. They are anyway a minority and do not pose a threat to Bharat. Our focus should be to avoid 85% of Indians who are hindus being cheated of their hard earned money and drawn away from Santan dharma

Hello folks. I wish to applaud this type of article for showing the way to being more narrow minded. Statistics and texts can only be a reflection of what one’s inner thoughts. You will only read what you want to hear and wont be able to bear anything less. thats the stark reality. If u think Hinduism is that weak that it needs to be protected or that people need support to think- you are wrong. Elections prove that everyday.
Religions and great gurus were not harmed at all in the movie. Materialism associated with religion has been removed so that it can be seen in a cleaner and more pious point of view.
Why do some Hindu think they are the real Hindu to defend Hinduism. What kind of certificate is that?!

Whats the reason to show he picture of the lady in the Censor Board? She was one of the people who took a decision millions of people are supporting in cinema halls. Go seek legal help if there are any grounds on your arguments.

And I also want to say that people should travel in india and everywhere and see how Christians and people from all religions are. Labelling a religion is so easy. One can easily defend a brother because of same religion or blood but do you really try to find out if that brother is guilty or not.

movies are indeed a medium. Anyone can make a movie on their own ideas. You are free to make a movie on your thoughts and seen how many people adhere to it. Raju Hirani as a Hindu made a movie to show people proudly his religion and other religion in their true form. a very divine personal relationship with God. and people identify with this because its the real faith. Pk at best does this and help people who have opposite thoughts to come out clean.

The Messiah of the Christian ummah is “a messenger of pure love, giving up his life on a cross even while forgiving the perpetrators of this heinous crime”? Really? Where did you get that Sir unless you are a willing customer for every lemon the Christian ummah sells you.
